At the Symposium on Cooperation between Guangzhou's and Longyan's State-owned Assets Systems and the Project Signing Ceremony held in Longyan City, Fujian on March 2, GMC and Longyan City Development Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement. Yu Hongsheng, Secretary of the CPC Longyan Municipal Committee, Chen Xiasheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Longyan Municipal Committee and Executive Deputy Mayor of Longyan City, Liu Youhong, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC Longyan Municipal Committee, Chen Dejun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director and Zeng Tao, Deputy Director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangzhou Municipal Government (Guangzhou SASAC), Liang Huqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of GMC, and other leaders attended the activity.
Yu Hongsheng extended a warm welcome to the delegation of Guangzhou's state-owned assets and enterprises. He said that Longyan City sincerely hopes to join hands with Guangzhou's state-owned assets and enterprises to plan and implement a batch of cooperation projects and achieve win-win outcomes.
Chen Dejun said that efforts will be made to maximize Longyan's resources and Guangzhou's market, establish an efficient and effective cooperation mechanism for state-owned assets and enterprises, promote the implementation of projects, and contribute to the high-quality development of both cities.
Liang Huqing said that GMC, as the first construction enterprise in South China to land on the list of the Fortune Global 500 and a leading enterprise in China's construction industry, is strong, confident, and willing to make contributions to Longyan's economic growth. He expressed his hope in two aspects. First, he hoped that GMC can take advantage of this visit and participate in more projects in Longyan including urban infrastructure construction, industrial cooperation pilot zone co-built by Longyan and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, urban renewal and transformation, and industrial logistics science and innovation park. Second, he hoped that the two sides can establish a joint venture, maximize GMC's leading role as a Fortune Global 500 company, develop in-depth cooperation in technology, capital, talent, management, and other aspects, create a scenario where the two sides share resources and complement each other, build construction enterprises with core competitiveness in Longyan, promote the agglomeration and growth of excellent construction enterprises, and advance the sustainable development of Longyan's construction industry.
