Everything grows out of the earth, and grain is not an exception. The No. 1 central document for 2023 stressed that to build and upgrade high-quality farmland this year, we need to focus on improving soil quality, irrigation and drainage facilities, and other shortcomings, so as to comprehensively promote water-saving irrigation with high efficiency and optimize the long-term management and protection mechanism. Xinjiang Xiaohaizi Water Conservancy Construction and Installation Engineering Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Xinjiang Qiankun Group, Guangzhou Municipal Construction Group Co., Ltd. (GMC) has recently won the bid for the high-quality farmland construction project (engineering construction) of the Third Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, with a bid price of RMB 930 million. The project covers a construction area of about 33,373 hectares (522,600 mu), including about 8,846 hectares (132,700 mu) of new high-quality farmland and about 25,993 hectares (389,900 mu) of high-quality farmland to be renovated and upgraded.
The high-quality farmland construction project (engineering construction) of the Third Division of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps includes 23 sub-projects in the 42nd, 44th, 45th, 46th, 49th, 50th, 51st, 53rd, and 54th Groups, Hongqi Farm, Dongfeng Farm and Jiashi Headquarter of the Third Division. The project covers field renovation works, efficient water-saving works, channel anti-seepage works, field road works, shelter forest works, and other programs.
GMC will make all efforts to promote this high-quality farmland project, thus making contributions to improving grain production and ensuring that China's food supply remains stable.

As its headquarter GMC is a famous enterprise included in Fortune Global 500, Xinjiang Qiankun Group has won 6 projects since 2023, with a total bid amount of RMB 1.19 billion, including RMB 1.14 billion in the market in Xinjiang and RMB 50.32 million in the market outside the region.
