On January 28, Guangdong Province and Guangzhou City held the high-quality development conference respectively, which made arrangements for the key work of Guangdong Province and Guangzhou in 2023 based on the theme of high-quality development.
According to the Implementation Opinions of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Other Departments on Promoting the Coordinated Development of Intelligent Construction and Construction Industrialization, Guangdong will develop a number of leading backbone enterprises with world-class core competitiveness in the field of intelligent construction by the end of 2035, and form an industrial cluster worth RMB 1 trillion.
The Three-year Action Plan of Building a "Supply Chain Chief System" in Guangzhou to Promote the High-quality Development of the Construction, Planning, and Design Industry (2022-2024) also puts forward that Guangzhou will take the "supply chain chief system" as the focus to develop leading enterprises, create an innovation environment, and build a well-structured industrial structure. Guangzhou will strive to raise the construction industry scale to RMB 1 trillion by the end of 2024.
Liang Huqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of GMC, said that GMC plans to complete the output value of RMB 330.5 billion in 2023, with the operating revenue of RMB 300 billion, and the total profit and tax of RMB 9.6 billion, and strive to make more contributions to the high-quality development of Guangdong's economy.
As one of the 17 Fortune Global 500 enterprises in Guangzhou and the "supply chain chief" of Guangzhou's construction industry, GMC will mainly adopt the new construction technology in three aspects.
The first one is prefabricated construction.
In recent years, GMC has been responsible for the implementation of the first fully prefabricated bridge project in Guangdong and the first national pilot urban utility tunnel project in Guangzhou, which has created a number of provincial and municipal "first records" in the field of prefabricated construction, helping to promote the "Guangzhou experience" in the country. At the same time, it has established one national demonstration base, five provincial demonstration bases and seven provincial demonstration projects. Among them, "Bay Area Smart Building" is the largest and most technologically advanced prefabricated construction industrial base in South China, which has attracted 95 enterprises. Combined with municipal, light steel, testing and other industrial bases, an industrial cluster is formed. GMC has initially constructed the "GMC prefabricated construction mode" to create the whole industrial chain of new construction industrialization.
At present, GMC is accelerating the construction of the state key laboratory of prefabricated construction in stages, speeding up the second phase of the High-end Assembly Manufacturing Innovation Center in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, making every effort to build a core demonstration area of prefabricated construction, and facilitating the high-quality development of the prefabricated construction industry in the Greater Bay Area.
The second is intelligent construction.
At present, GMC has compiled the GMC 14th Five-Year Digital Construction Development Plan and set up the Digital Construction Research Institute. GMC has developed more than 30 kinds of intelligent sensors and more than 20 construction engineering information system platforms, such as a digital collaboration platform based on the design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) and modular integrated construction (MIC), BIM design and collaboration platform, smart site platform, underground space disaster prevention and reduction digital system. GMC has widely applied the above achievements in more than 3,000 projects such as Guangzhou International Financial City, and Guangzhou International Health Station, creating intelligent construction solutions with strong market competitiveness. During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, GMC will establish a big data analysis center, build 1-2 leading intelligent construction enterprises in China, and facilitate the digital transformation of the construction industry.
The third is green development.
GMC is accelerating the green development of engineering construction. Combining with Guangzhou's urban characteristics, GMC actively promotes the construction of "pocket parks" to effectively improve the urban environment and meet the needs of people for green life. It vigorously promotes the ecological protection of Haizhu Wetland and provides a "Guangzhou practice" for exploring and building a community of life on Earth. Participated in the construction of Guangzhou Waste-to-energy Plant project, it provides "green power" for urban development. It has developed green and environmentally friendly construction technology and complete sets of equipment for drilling with pre-stressed high strength concrete pipe cased pile, which significantly reduces construction pollution, leading the technical development of the industry. It actively promotes inorganic artificial stone, polycarboxylic acid water reducer and other green, environmentally friendly and low-carbon building materials and technical achievements, to obtain economic and social benefits.
Liang Huqing said that GMC expects to actively carry out in-depth cooperation with governments and enterprises all over Guangdong by giving full play to the advantages of the whole industry chain of the construction industry. Jointly, they will promote the high-quality development of the construction industry in Guangdong, and strive to contribute more GDP, create more tax revenue and provide more jobs for Guangdong.
